Hey there,

I don't know if anyone of you noticed but i got a very disturbing message from ~vissroid He read the submision agreement and was stunned by what it said. So i read it as well and i must say that i find it very disturbing to say the least. I hadn't noticed the entire agreement before and i don't know how long it is there but if you read it you will be just as amazed as we are. Deviantart basicly can do whatever they want with our art. If we remove our art and they have copies of it they can do whatever they want with those. So we don't have anything to say about our own art..... How is that??!! Maybe i misinterpeted some things but i don't think so. I'd like to hear what you think about this agreement. Just click submit and you'll see it. Read it in let me know what you make of it and what you think about it.

This is the only thing I've seen on ownership, and as far as I can tell it says the artist owns their own work. But thanks for this information, because my name and logo are mine and quite frankly I am paranoid now that I've heard about this.

But this is what I found so far. I'm going to keep looking because I've been getting really serious about trying to trademark my name because I'm quite possessive about it...

2. Ownership. Artist at all times retains all right, title and interest in and to the Artist Materials provided by Artist hereunder (including, without limitation, the copyrights in and to the Artist Materials), subject to the non-exclusive rights in the licenses granted to deviantART under this Agreement. Artist is free to grant similar rights to others during and after the Term of this Agreement.

Was it always there when you pressed "submit"?? I can't remember. And why don't they just say it like you do "your art will be used to create thumbnails" couse i really don't like what it says there. It goes much further then making thumbs imo.
